My 1 Month Dr. Visit and Photo Session

Today was a fun day all in all. Not only was it my first Halloween, it was also my 1 month doctor visit and my 1 month photo session again with daddy. The doctor was very pleased with everything. I have gained 14 ounces in 2 weeks which is awesome . Therefore, I now weigh 9 pounds and 1 ounce. Daddy actually almost guessed my weight before being weighed. I dressed up as a kitty cat for Halloween and the nurse, Michelle , loved it. In fact, she took me right away from Mommy at the doctors office to show me off.

After visiting the doctor, Mommy, Daddy, and Grandmamma took me out to dinner. This afternoon mom and dad took me for my first real stroller ride around the neighborhood. I slept the whole time. I sat outside with Mommy, Daddy, and Grandmamma for a while during trick or treating. However, it soon turned off cold and mommy sat me inside. After the Halloween fun, daddy began taking the above pictures. As you can tell, I love getting my picture taken! My facial expressions are priceless. I am beginning to be more awake and enjoying life! All is well!

Bath Time!

We finally got to check out the tub last night and that's where it's at! Ally wasn't quite sure about it at first but it only took a minute to recognize that it was a really, really good thing!

Daddy taking more pictures of me! I actually don't mind getting my picture taken! This is one of mommy's favorite. Daddy captured all of my cute features! I have daddy's eyes, feet, and hands and mommy's mouth and nose! I am just too cute!

My First Photo Session

Today was my first photo session with daddy! We had so much fun for about 10 minutes while I had my eyes open! We also went to the doctor today for my 2 week visit. Everything was GREAT! I was back up to my birth weight, 8lbs and 3oz. The doctor said that all the things mommy and daddy were concerned with were normal baby things. I go back in two weeks and get my first set of shots! Mommy will probally cry more than me! The doctor told mommy and daddy to go ahead and feed me the amount I want, which makes me very happy! Therefore, I am taking about 2 1/2 ounces every 3-4 hours. Daddy sometimes calls me Ms. Piggy! I really think that I will be sleeping through the night soon! I have only been taking one, on the occasion two bottles during the night. This makes mommy and daddy very happy!

I am changing so quickly each day! I love to eat, sleep, and dirty my diaper. (finally) I love to listen to mommy sing to me while she rocks me and daddy to hum songs to me as I lay on his chest, my favorite resting place! We look forward to posting more pictures soon!

Growing So Fast

This is one of mommy's favorite pictures. I have my boxing gloves on and ready to beat up boys! Daddy already warned me about how I can't date boys until I'm 30! Therefore, I'm ready!

1 Week Old

All is well. Ally is doing wonderful. We've had a rough few days with a belly ache that has been hard for everyone. Today, however, she feels much better. We have taken lots of pictures and even enjoying the restless nights and long days that are so worth every moment. She is AWESOME! We look forward to posting more pictures, as of course, daddy has taken LOTS!!!!! Tomorrow will be her one week birthday. It is hard to believe that she is already a week old and changing everyday. We gave her the first bath at home last night and she loved it. She loved being naked and enjoyed the warm water and hair wash. Mommy enjoyed brushing it. Daddy is tickled pink. He loves to snuggle with Ally on his chest, even though she has already latched on to the chest hair a few times. Daddy is staying home with mommy one more week. Mommy doesn't know what she is going to do when daddy goes back to work. He has been AWESOME!!!!!!

The 1st Night at Home

Ally is so amazing! There is nothing in the world BETTER than a new bundle of joy. She is doing wonderful. Full of grins and facial expressions that are priceless. We got home yesterday around 2:15. We got a little late start because Ally had some drainage from her eye that we wanted the doctor to look at before bringing her home. It ended up being a staff infection that we are treating with drops. Thankfully, it is already looking much better.

The first night wasn't too bad. Daddy slept pretty good but mommy just couldn't sleep. Ally got spoiled to her pacifier real fast and one of the nurses decided to rock Ally every night in the nursery. Therefore, she decided mommy should rock too. We are enjoying today by a little Rest and relaxation.We have lots more pictures that we will be posting soon! She is an amazing gift from God. We are truly blessed.

Mom and Baby are doing well!

Sorry for not being able to keep everyone updated on the whereabouts of Ally but she was born yesterday, Monday October the 6th. Ally was born at 12:17pm and weighed 8lbs 3oz. She is 20 1/4 inches long, and absolutely beautiful. Melody is doing very well and actually woke me up, so that she could get a shower and go see Ally!

We've been so very blessed with this beautiful little girl and thank each and every one of you who have followed this pregnancy and offered your thoughts, help, gifts, and prayers. We also thank those that have already been to see Ms. Allyson it is my intention to post pics of all the visitors with Ally over time.

I just wanted to make sure that e-mail posting would work so that I can keep everyone updated regarding the delivery of Allyson!

Four Days in Counting

Today was the last actual doctors visit. In fact the front desk nurse said, "no more 4:00 appointments." Ally is weighing in at or around 7 pounds and is scheduled to arrive Monday. We are going in to the hospital Sunday night around 6:00. They are going to give me a pill to help soften the cervix more. Although, today it was 70 percent effaced. I was not dilated anymore than a centimeter, but the doctor was defiantly sure that it was time for her to come. He is afraid that if we wait any longer, her head is going to be too big for me to deliver on my own. He is going to start me on pitocin around 7:00 Monday morning. The process should be around 12 hours, therefore, by 3:00 Monday afternoon Miss Ally should be in our arms. However, he said there is always the chance that things don't go as planned and that it could be even Tuesday before she arrives.

We are very excited, yet nervous as we prepare for Ally. We are very anxious to meet our little girl. We ask that you keep us in your prayers for the next few days as we prepare for her and of course as I encounter labor and delivery for the first time. Pray that I am not to harsh on Wes, as he will be a great husband through the process, and of course a wonderful daddy in a few days.
