Today was the last actual doctors visit. In fact the front desk nurse said, "no more 4:00 appointments." Ally is weighing in at or around 7 pounds and is scheduled to arrive Monday. We are going in to the hospital Sunday night around 6:00. They are going to give me a pill to help soften the cervix more. Although, today it was 70 percent effaced. I was not dilated anymore than a centimeter, but the doctor was defiantly sure that it was time for her to come. He is afraid that if we wait any longer, her head is going to be too big for me to deliver on my own. He is going to start me on pitocin around 7:00 Monday morning. The process should be around 12 hours, therefore, by 3:00 Monday afternoon Miss Ally should be in our arms. However, he said there is always the chance that things don't go as planned and that it could be even Tuesday before she arrives.
We are very excited, yet nervous as we prepare for Ally. We are very anxious to meet our little girl. We ask that you keep us in your prayers for the next few days as we prepare for her and of course as I encounter labor and delivery for the first time. Pray that I am not to harsh on Wes, as he will be a great husband through the process, and of course a wonderful daddy in a few days.
We look forward to posting next time pictures of Miss Allyson Beatrice Kerr.

Really, Really Ready
It's official we are completely ready and Melody has reached the, "I'm starting to feel miserable" stage. She asked me to take this picture tonight as one of the last pictures that she takes before Ally arrives. Your thoughts and prayers will be very much appreciated as we approach these last few days.

Ready To Meet The World
WOW! We can't believe it. Today we went to the doctor and I actually was dilated almost a centimeter. He says he was estimating me having another 2 weeks, but that she could come at any time. She has dropped and feels to be making her way into position. At 39 weeks if she hasn't arrived, he said we could make the decision to induce. (the week of October 6th) Her heartbeat was very strong at 153 and he estimated that she weighed 6 pounds. Therefore, if she holds out 2 more weeks at that point we are looking at 8 to 81/2 pounds. Wes and I are very excited. Especially here lately with all of the braxton hicks contractions, we know things are getting closer. We have enjoyed watching the belly grow as Ally gets bigger inside, but really can't wait to actually hold her in our arms. We finished all the showers and have been truly blessed with all the things to help us prepare for our baby girl. I am sure Ally can't wait to meet you all!

My Arrival is Getting Closer
We are actually counting down the days until Allyson arrives. Today I went to the doctor for my 34 week check-up and actually measured at being 35 weeks. Therefore, we are thinking that Miss Ally is going to arrive before the 12th. Everything thing at the doctor was good! Her heartbeat is still holding strong at 150. The doctor was pleased with everything. We begin our every week visits now. He is actually going to check everything next week and continue to check her progress from that point forward. He said that if the belly keeps growing at this pace, then at 37 weeks (two weeks from now) we would do an ultrasound to see her actual size and go from there. Therefore, we think we have two more full weeks and then at that point she could arrive at any time.
As for mommy, well, I have been very swollen in the hands and they have been going numb at night, so he wants me to start wearing a brace when I sleep. Hopefully, that will help a bit. We are getting very anxious, but yet a little nervous as becoming first time parents is getting closer. Her room is all ready and we are having two showers this week. We still continue to spoil her already.

The Countdown Begins
WOW! Where has the time gone. Ms. Ally will be here in less than 7 weeks. We are so excited. The doctor's visit this week was good. Everything was looking fine and right on track. We have nick named her "thumper." She loves to thump moms belly, and give daddy a hard kick every once in a while.
We had a shower yesterday and my goodness she racked up. Clothes, toys, bottles, lotions, SHOES, and lots of other goodies. It looks like Christmas at our house already. We honestly can already say she is SPOILED.
We go back to the doctor September 4th, and at that point every week. I can honestly say, my body is ready. She takes a lot out of me during the day, but it is for sure worth every last moment.
We look forward to sharing Ally's arrival with everyone.

Ally says Hello!!

We went for a 3D/4D ultrasound today and got a glimpse of what Ally looks like. While the technician said that we had waited too long and that it would be hard for us to get a good look at her we were able to see the picture to the left which we think is pretty revealing.
The tech took several more pictures but it would be really hard for us to explain in a short blog post what you were looking at. I will post one other picture as I'm sure everyone will be able to tell what it is and recognize just how much of a Kerr she really is.

Week 28 Doctor Visit
We went to the doctor on Tuesday and everything was great. It was a short visit, basically to check and make sure everything was going well. Her heartbeat was still holding strong at 150. The doctor was pleased with everything. We start seeing the doctor every two weeks. Our next visit is Aug. 6th. At the visit we requested a 3D ultrasound. We are very excited to see Ms. Allyson for the first time. If you haven't seen one before, you will be amazed. Wow, things have gone by so fast! We are just very anxious for her arrival.
